Dragoon Dance

I am standing in the valley, between the wild, wild, Mountain of Meaning and the watchful Peak of Awareness.   The dance, today, is between sun & moon, child & elder, magic & truth, mystery & physicality, the unknown & the tangible.  This dance is an acknowledgment of the human spiritual dance- eating the bread of this world and doing the work of that world.

I find myself, here, in the Dragoon Mountains walking a valley trail between two monstrous, bizarre, and haunting ranges.  As I walk, listen, notice, I become aware that I’m having a conversation about dichotomy.  One range begins to represent the wild, soul aspects of life and the other takes the shape of the tangible ways of working in this world.  Here I am, in the middle way.  Curious, so curious.  Walking becomes dancing.  Dancing becomes a weaving of these two ranges, building a delicate bridge between.  This movement extends the conversation between these aspects of life- the feminine and masculine.  All the way a deep seeing, noticing of the beauty of the place and its inhabitants.

I see myself and my journey in this place and I’m grateful for the permission to dramatically play with these stories and overlay them on the gorgeous mountains surrounding me.

How am I living into reciprocity today, with this dance?  May there be a mutual internal and external relationship forged between what is wild and what is known.  A bridge between the masculine and feminine dances within me and my “showing up/working in this world.”  May the service be clear, wild, sweet, and real.  AND may it start with blessing this place, the Dragoon Mountains, with a little dance.
